SELECTION OF WOOD

The manufacture of glued beams begins with careful selection of wood. Humidity, wood structure, growth region and many other parameters are the criteria for LesCo technologists in the strict and careful selection of raw materials. In the production of glued beams, we use carefully selected wood of Carpathian spruce, which grows in the mountainous areas of the Carpathians.

Sawing

The technological process of production of glued beams in the LesCo company begins with sawing of logs on the automated saw frame of the Italian and Slovenian production which provides high quality of sawing.

Drying of lumber

Drying of lumber takes place in automated Italian drying chambers up to 10-12% of humidity, which eliminates the possibility of further rejection and prevents wood rot.

The first planing

After the drying chambers, the sawn timber enters the shop, where it is calibrated on a double-sided machine to equalize the thickness of the boards, as well as for clearer detection of defects and knots of wood, which will be cut in the optimization process on a special machine for longitudinal splicing.

Splicing and second planing

Splicing of lumber is carried out on Italian equipment. This splicing line allows us to get boards of the necessary length. The workpieces are calibrated on a four-sided machine to obtain the required dimensions of thickness and width.

Bonding and pressing

Planed lumber enters the area of gluing the beam. The use of glue from the world-famous manufacturer AKZO NOBEL guarantees absolute safety and environmental friendliness of materials. After gluing, the process of pressing the beam takes place on the most powerful presses of German and Italian manufacturers.

Profiling

After technological endurance the glued preparations of a bar are profiled on the four-sided longitudinal milling machine for receiving the corresponding cross section. This machine of the Italian production can profile beams with section to 300х600 mm.
